How we write these pages

There is no named author on this site. The pages are written by the Alpacto team, and rather than ask you to trust a face, we show you where each claim comes from and what rules the page had to pass before it went up.

Where the numbers come from

Every figure sits next to its source, on the page, not in a footnote at the bottom. We use primary sources: the Bureau of Labor Statistics time-use survey rather than a newspaper’s summary of it, the Pew report rather than the headline about it, the paper itself rather than the press release. A number we could not confirm in the primary source is removed from the page, not softened.

Where the quotes come from

When we quote a person, we link to the original thread and keep their words intact. Individual posts describe personal experiences, not a representative sample of couples. We do not turn informal reading into survey percentages or publish a numerical claim without an auditable source.

What the charts had to pass

RuleWhy
Blank, example and fillable couples sets in US Letter and A4Choose a format that fits your printer and the way you prefer to fill in the chart
The blank page downloads with one click, no emailA chart behind a form is a form, not a chart
Two blank name columns, no “his” and “hers”A chart that has already decided who does what is a report card
Room for your own words on every sheetYour home is not our template
A reusable layout without fixed datesKeep the structure and start a fresh agreement when you need one
Three styles: Minimal, Warm and ColorThe same agreement can suit different homes and printing preferences

What we do not do

We distinguish the app in development from downloads that are available today. We do not present examples as real app screenshots, promise that a chart will fix a relationship, or claim a personal trial without records of that trial.

Who we are

Alpacto is building an app for agreements between people who share a home. The printable resources let you try those agreements on paper. Questions and corrections: support@alpacto.com.

Where to start

The chore chart for couples is the first article written by these rules. The printables page lists every file, and the tools page has the three calculators, starting with the chore split calculator. The Alpacto app is what the site is for.

Last reviewed: September 10, 2026. When a source updates its numbers, the page is updated and the review date changes.
