Habits and routines

Which printable chore chart to print first

Two adults who share a home start with the couples chart: two blank names, a standard of done and a line per row; roommates start with the cleaning schedule, roommate version, where a column belongs to each person and shared areas rotate by week. A family with children starts with the reward chart when the goal has an end in sight, and with the sticker chart when it does not.

The other sheets answer narrower questions. The household chores list is for when you cannot remember what needs doing, and the habit tracker for a month of one repeated thing. The questions game and the love coupons are for evenings that are not about housework; the full list of 64 chores is on the chore chart for couples page.

Letter or A4, blank or fillable: how to print a weekly chore chart

Choose US Letter in the United States and Canada, A4 elsewhere. Portrait, actual size or 100 %, one page per sheet, single-sided. Print one page first as a test, then the set.

The couples chart comes in three versions: a blank PDF to fill in by hand, a filled-in example to see how the rows work, and an editable PDF with fillable fields you can type into on a computer before printing. Every other sheet on this page downloads in both US Letter and A4.

To reuse a chart every week, laminate it or slide it into a plastic sleeve and write with a whiteboard marker. The love coupons and the question cards are cut along the lines and handed over one at a time; the charts stay whole on the fridge.

Questions about the printable chore charts

Are the charts really free?

Yes. Every chart downloads with one click, no email, no account. The full couples set, including the fillable PDF and the filled-in examples, is free as well.

Is there a weekly chore chart for one person?

Yes, the cleaning schedule: one area a day, one line for what counts as done. Both name columns are optional, so one person fills in one of them and the sheet still works.

Can I edit the chore chart template on a computer?

Yes, the couples chart has a fillable PDF in Letter and A4. Type the names, zones and standards of done, save your copy and print it. There is no Google Sheets version; the fillable PDF does the same job without an account.

Which chore chart works for roommates?

The roommate chore chart: four name boxes, shared areas that rotate every week, and a Checked by column for the person who gets that area next.

Is there a chore chart for kids here?

Yes, eight of them, in the For kids section above. For younger children there are the reward chart, the sticker chart, the behavior chart, the routine chart and the potty training chart. Older children get a chore chart for teens with pay and a screen time chart where minutes are earned, and the family chore chart puts the grown-ups on the same grid.

The app uses the same idea: clear agreements, coins for what gets done, and rewards you choose together, with the reminding done by the app rather than by a person.
