Free printable love coupons with a use-by line and a space to mark the one you spent

Printable love coupons cut out and waiting on a hallway table

Two pages: twelve blank love coupons to fill in yourself, and twelve with an idea already printed on them. Every coupon is numbered and carries four lines — Good for, From, To, and the pair that the rest of the internet leaves out: Use by and Used on. That pair is why the stack does not quietly die in a drawer.

What is on the printable love coupons sheet

Twelve blank ones

Page one. Two ruled lines after Good for, which is room for a promise in your own words rather than someone else’s joke.

Twelve already written

Page two, for when the gift is tonight. No. 14 reads “A night off: every chore is mine until tomorrow”; No. 22 is “A Saturday with no plans: we do whatever you choose”.

Use by and Used on

Two dated lines on every coupon. One says when it stops being valid, the other records the day it was actually honored.

Numbers 01 to 24

Each coupon carries its own number, so a sentence like I still have number seven means something, and both of you can see what is left.

Coupons rarely get refused. They get forgotten

Ask what happened to the love coupon book someone was given, and the answer repeats itself. One man put it plainly: “My wife did this for me a couple years back and I still haven’t redeemed them because I always forget about them.” He then listed three favorites that had been sitting unused for two years.

That is what the two dated lines are for. Use by turns a vague gift into something with a horizon, and Used on leaves a mark on the coupon itself, so a stack that has been half spent looks half spent. The giver can see what is still owed without asking, which is the part that usually goes unsaid.

We read the printable love coupons pages that rank above this one on September 18, 2026, and none of them prints a Used on line at all. A use-by date shows up once, on a page admiring the expiration date printed on somebody else’s template. A how-to guide ranking for a neighbouring search recommends both putting a date on and leaving it off, in the same article.

Blank beats clever

The other complaint is about the coupons themselves. One man listed what he did not want: a get out of jail free card, a night of video games without complaining — the lines printed on half the sets you can buy. His objection was that a gift made of someone else’s jokes says nothing about the two people involved.

Another man described the opposite: a book of things like a road trip with no destination and a new recipe tried together. It worked because every line was specific to those two people at that moment and, in his words, “all things we were enjoying together”. That is a twelve-coupon brief, and no printed set can write it for you.

So this couples coupon book is split down the middle. Page one stays blank for the promises only you would make; page two is there for the evening when the birthday is tomorrow and the ideas will not come. Nothing on either page is suggestive: every printed coupon is something you could hand over in front of your mother.

A hundred coupon ideas, ten at a time

Running out of ideas is the normal outcome, not a personal failing. Someone planning a thirtieth birthday wrote the whole problem down in one line: “I need 30 coupons total and I’m a few short”. They had already listed about twenty.

The companion sheet, 100 Coupon Ideas, holds a hundred in ten sections. Each idea there has a tick box, so the same one is not given twice, and six empty lines wait for your own. Here are its ten sections, with a few ideas from each.

  • Around the House. A week of dishes, done by me · One load of laundry, washed and folded · A bathroom cleaned top to bottom · A full day with zero chores for you
  • Rest and Recharge. Sleeping in while I handle the morning · An hour alone, phone off, door closed · An early night while I finish up
  • Food and Drink. Your favorite dinner, cooked by me · Coffee in bed, made the way you like it · A picnic dinner on the living room floor
  • Out Together. A date night you plan and I pay for · A drive with no destination · A morning at the farmers market.
  • Nights In. Board game night, you pick the game · A night of old photos and stories · Karaoke in the kitchen
  • You Choose. You pick the restaurant, no vetoes · One small argument you win, no rematch · The last slice, no questions asked
  • Errands and Favors. One errand you’ve been putting off · Making the phone call you dread · A ride anywhere, anytime, no sighing
  • Comfort and Care. Reading to you until you fall asleep · Taking care of you on a sick day · Listening to your day, no advice
  • Play and Laugh. A rematch of any game you lost · A scavenger hunt I set up for you · One bad joke a day for a week
  • Time and Attention. An evening with both phones in a drawer · A letter about my favorite memory of us · Five things I appreciate about you

Two things make a list like this work. Pick for the person rather than the budget, and write a use-by date while you are still holding the pen. The sheet says it in one line: pick an idea, write it on a blank coupon, tick it here so it does not come up twice.

Questions people ask

What are some good love coupon ideas?

The ones that cost time rather than money: a morning of sleeping in, a dinner cooked to order, an evening with both phones away, an errand that has been waiting a month. The section above lists thirty, and the printable sheet holds a hundred.

What to put on coupons for your boyfriend?

Start from what he actually avoids or misses, not from a list of jokes. The coupon ideas for boyfriend that land are usually a chore he hates, a plan he would never book himself, or an evening of undivided attention. A diy coupon book for boyfriend works when each line is one doable thing with a date on it.

What are some ideas for a coupon book for my girlfriend?

The same rule works: a coupon book for girlfriend is only as good as how specific it is. “A Saturday with no plans: we do whatever you choose” beats “anything you want”, because the first one will happen and the second one will not.

How do I make a coupon book for my husband?

Print page one, cut on the lines, fill in Good for, From, To and Use by, and staple the stack along the left edge. That is the whole of a coupon book for husband, boyfriend or wife; the only part worth adding is the Used on line, so you both know which ones are already spent.

Where can I find a printable coupon template?

Here: these printable love coupons come as both pages, in US Letter and A4, in two designs, with no email address and no account. There is also a fillable PDF if you would rather type the promises than write them by hand.

Can you print your own coupons?

Yes, and on a home printer at 100 %, not fit to page, so the coupons come out at 2.5 by 2.25 inches and the cut lines stay where they should. Plain paper is fine; card stock survives being carried in a wallet for a month.

The coupon that reminds you itself

Paper has one flaw: it cannot nudge anybody. In Alpacto each coupon is a task — one person promises, the other accepts, Use by becomes the deadline and Used on becomes the day it was accepted. The app remembers the date; the paper coupon stays the thing you hand over.

Everything quoted from the sheets is printed on them: the coupon lines, the numbers No. 01 to No. 24, the twelve written coupons and the ten sections of the 100 Coupon Ideas sheet. The two quotes about forgotten coupons and about doing things together come from a public discussion nine years old, and the line about being a few coupons short from a discussion about coupon books; both were read on September 18, 2026, as were the competing printable pages counted above. A different promise, the one you owe rather than give, has its own sheet: IOU coupons. How we write these pages, without a named author: our methodology.
