A printable challenge tracker with the rules written before day one

Five sheets, each a printable challenge tracker for one kind of month: a habit, a habit for two, no spending, workouts, small things done together. Three of them give each of two people their own box. All five print lines for what counts, what you win and what a missed day means.

Printable challenge tracker for two on a fridge: thirty days in three tables and a shared reward

In short

One person building habits for a month: the habit tracker. Two people, one habit each, one prize: the 30 day tracker for two. Spending less: the no spend challenge.

Moving more, with a winner: the couples workout challenge. A month of small things together, nothing to invent: the 30 day couple challenge.

Five free printable challenge trackers

Habit tracker

One month, up to eight habits, a box per day and a Best streak column. Below it, what you trade your streaks for, written in first. The sheet.

30 day habit tracker for two

Two people, one habit each, thirty days in three tables of ten, a box for each of you on every row. The reward is shared, and its condition is written next to it.

No spend challenge

Thirty days of buying only what is on your Allowed list, written before day one. What you skipped adds up, and one line says where the savings go.

Couples workout challenge

Four weeks, a box of minutes for each partner every day, and an agreed minimum that makes a box a workout. The winner gets what you wrote down.

30 day couple challenge

Thirty small things to do together, one a day, all printed: a walk, a song you loved at sixteen, a swapped chore. Each of you has a box. It belongs to the couple challenges section.

Four of the sheets have their own page; the 30 day couple challenge sits in the couple challenges section. Every file comes in US Letter and A4, blank and fillable.

What to write on a 30 day challenge tracker before day one

Most trackers in search results are a grid of 30, 75 or 100 boxes for one person. Ours add three lines for the questions that otherwise come up on day ten: does this count, what do we get, and what now that a day is missed.

SheetWhat countsThe prizeA missed day
Habit trackerYour habits, up to eight“What I’m redeeming my streaks for”“A blank day simply starts a new count.”
Tracker for twoOne habit each“Our shared reward”, “We get it when”“When one of us misses a day, we”
No spend“Allowed” and “Not allowed”“The savings go to”“leave the day blank and keep going”
Workout“Minutes that count as a workout”“What the winner gets”, “If it’s a tie, we both”“A blank box is a rest day.”
Couple challengeThe task printed for the day“When we finish, we’ll celebrate by”“Missed a day? Leave it blank and keep going.”

Every quoted line is printed on the sheet, word for word.

Fill these in together, before the first box. Written first, a disputed coffee or a short run is settled by a line you both wrote, not by whoever feels stronger that evening.

A blank box is not a failed challenge

None of the five sheets has a place to mark a failure. A missed day is an empty square, and the count goes on.

The tracker for two puts the slack into the prize. In its filled-in example the reward needs at least 25 checks each out of 30; the two finish with 27 and 26 and get it on day 30.

The workout sheet does it by the week: every week has its own count of workouts, so a bad Monday costs one box, not the month.

Questions people ask

Is there a free printable 30 day challenge tracker?

Yes, three: the tracker for two, the no spend challenge and the couple challenge each run thirty days. They are free, with no email, in Letter and A4, and each has a fillable version.

What is a 30 day challenge tracking sheet?

A page with a box for each of thirty days, where you mark the days you did the thing. A good one also holds the rule, the prize and what a missed day means.

Can a challenge tracker be used by two people?

Yes, if each person has a box of their own. The tracker for two, the workout challenge and the couple challenge all have one; on the no spend sheet you write both names under Who’s in and share a calendar.

Do you have a 75 or 100 day challenge tracker?

Not as a separate printable challenge tracker. For a longer run, print the habit tracker once a month: the month is written by hand, so the same sheet works for every month in a row.

The same challenge, counted by the app

In Alpacto a challenge is a pact with a finish line, a period you can both see and a reward at the end. Coins stay inside the app and are never money.

What each sheet holds is taken from its own printed text: the rows, the columns, the lines quoted above, and the filled-in example of the tracker for two.
